Although we only live 1/2 mile away, we rented Stable Cottage for 5 days to escape building works. It proved an absolute gem: well equipped with excellent facilities for both humans and dogs, beautiful well-tended grounds including an amazing walled garden that puts the National Trust to shame and relaxing views across the Meon Valley....

This was the most comfortable and well-equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in. Perfect for both us and our dog who loved all the local walks and the safe, enclosed garden. A very friendly and welcoming owner, peaceful location – and a great pub within walking distance ! We will certainly be returning.

Beautiful cottage, equipped with absolutely everything we needed. Ideal for our Lab as well as us. Brilliant dog walks nearby, as well as a huge field to exercise her nearer to home. The Meon Valley is picturesque, interesting and has loads to do. We will have to return!

We stayed here during March, the weather was typically British so we endured a little snow, wind, rain and quite cold temperatures. However, we were comfortable in Stable cottage where it was warm and very cosy. All home comforts were available and a wood burning stove was a bonus for us. Would definitely recommend staying...
