very enjoyable stay

This was our first visit to Stable Cottage. It is very spacious and well equiped with lovely, uninterrupted views across the Meon valley from the windows and patio seating area. The courtyard at the rear contains additiol seating and two ‘Stable’ rooms, one with washing machines and freezers and the other a drying space for walking equipment and bike storage. The location is ideal for walkers and dog lovers, close to the South Downs Way and also within easy reach of Portsmouth Park and Ride for access to all that Portsmouth offers, with it’s historic dockyards, shopping and restaurants. It is a short drive to several NT properties and slightly further to the New Forest. The owner, Gill, has made the ongoing restoration of the onsite victorian garden a labour of love and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
